Clean Up and Green Up Green River (May 12)
Free door prizes, volunteer t-shirts, free breakfast donated by McDonalds
Meet at the Public Works Building starting at 8 a.m.

Small Business Expo (May 19 WWCC Green River Center, 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.)
- If you… are a small business or home based business owner and would like to share your products and/or services with your neighbors
- If you… are considering starting a small or home based business.
- If you… are interested in what local small/home based businesses in the local Green River area have to offer
- If you… are interested in volunteering for the Green River Main Street, Chamber of Commerce, or other City organizations
Farmers Market (July 11 —September 12)
Every Wednesday from 4pm-7pm for ten weeks you can pick up fresh vegetables, fruit, bread and other bakery items. Locals come out with their home-made items including jewelry, woodworking, pottery, crochet items, and much more! Browse vendors and pick-up dinner from our local vendors including Carl’s BBQ and of course Main Street offers nachos, cotton candy, popcorn and soda.
Trunk or Treat (October)
Dress up the kids and enjoy a safe place for trick-or-treating. Local businesses decorate their trunks and hand out candy. Festivities include a trunk decorating contest, pumpkin patch, costume contest, apple bobbing, pumpkin carving and pumpkin painting. Rain or shine (or snow)… come out and enjoy hot dogs and hot cocoa!

Christmas Window Decorating Contest (December)
Downtown businesses decorate their store fronts in celebration of Christmas. 2008 1st Place winner and traveling trophy holder is Keama’s Quilts. Awards and bragging rights are also given to 2nd and 3rd place winners.
Christmas Promotion (December)
Main Street plans a Christmas Promotion to promote our Main Street businesses and encourage shopping local during the holidays. The Holiday Hang-Over Shopping Spree is a chance to WIN a $250 shopping spree or a $100 shopping spree. How it works: Anytime you spend $19.99 or more in any participating Main Street business, you can fill out an entry form located at the business and you are entered to WIN one of the shopping sprees. Watch the City Council meeting on Tuesday, January 5th at 7:00pm and two names will be drawn for the shopping sprees. Whatever you didn't get for Christmas that you really wanted, well you can buy it now! You will be personally escorted on your shopping spree through the Main Street businesses until you have shopped 'til you dropped (or your money has been spent, whichever comes first). The shopping date will be scheduled at your convenience. Support your own, spend at home!
